Mainstreet Properties Pty Ltd Director, Ben Della Vedova, said the development will include new hospitality and entertainment offerings, as well as residential dwellings in the vibrant and diverse community.
“We are excited to commence construction working with the proposed tenants and stakeholders to create spaces for family and friends to gather and enjoy a range of services,” said Mr Della Vedova.
“It's a vision which aligns with aspirations for the centre of Mirrabooka since it was first conceived.”
The development’s contemporary design aims to create a village experience and presents additional community amenities, such as green spaces offering alfresco dining, seating and play areas.
Realmark Commercial Director, Michal Richardson, has been leading the search for quality commercial tenants, including retail outlets, food and beverage operators, professional services, entertainment as well as medical and allied services.
“We’re thrilled to be moving forward with leasing to attract a range of commercial operators to create a vibrant mixed-use precinct,” said Mr Richardson.
“We’re taking a considered and curated approach to the tenancy mix to create a family-friendly space for people of all ages to pause and enjoy a range of experiences.
“On completion, its hoped that the site will contribute to the long-held vision for Mirrabooka’s urban activity centre to boast range of commercial, recreational and retail offerings at the heart of the community.”
The site on Yirrigan and Chesterfield Roads was occupied by a dilapidated tavern and TAB which has been vacant and in declining condition for many years.
The current proposed development replaces a previous proposal approved in 2016, featuring multi-level residential dwellings and diverse commercial tenancies.
Mainstreet Properties Pty Ltd has appointed Perth builders Building Workshop to assist with construction.
Demolition of the old improvements has been completed and construction is planned to commence in 2023.
