Daniel joined Realmark two years ago after spending six years playing professional football throughout South America and Europe. He said it had been incredible to find a new career that emulated his love and experience of playing sport at an elite level.
“I love real estate because it is so similar to football.” he said. “For all the hard work you put in, you see the reward, just the same as football. The more I train, the better I got and how that links up with business and real estate really drew me in. I thought this is going to be a good match for me.” he said.
Daniel’s decision to join elite agency Realmark was due to their progressive, innovative and tech-savvy approach to the industry. He believed his background and strengths in fine-tuning skills, discipline and structured processes would align well with Realmarks vision.
Daniel’s passion for soccer developed at a young age playing for local teams such as North Beach Soccer Club, Stirling Lions and Balcatta Soccer Club. It soon turned from being a fun sport into an obsession. It was his determination that saw the young Perth boy, plucked from a Soccer Academy by a talent scout and chosen to play high-level soccer in Brazil at just 17 years of age.
For two years all Daniel did was live, eat and breathe the game. He trained twice a day and spent most of his spare time in Brazil at the clubs youth academy complex with his teammates or experiencing the Brazilian culture.
After an injury cut his second year in Brazil short, he returned home to undergo surgery and following a successful rehabilitation period he secured a trial with Italian Serie B (Italian second division) team Vicenza Calcio.
“This was pretty rare for a kid from Perth to be playing soccer at this level, so I was literally living my dream and was going to work my hardest to make the most of my opportunity” he said. “Especially as I have an Italian background, to see the joy in my parents faces, that was pretty special.”
Following a successful two and a half year period in Italy, where he not only developed as a footballer but as a person, he returned home to Perth in 2013 to undergo another operation.
Once back at 100%, he was able to secure a trial with Hungarian First Division team Kaposvar leading to a two year stint playing top-level football in Hungary.
“It was a lot of training, a lot of hard work but for those two years playing in Hungary at the top level, I played the best football of my career. All the hard work I had put in for the years before was starting to pay off. It was just a great experience.”
Following several major injury setbacks during the last part of his stint in Hungary, Daniel retired from Football and returned home. He took a few months off and after a conversation with his loved ones, decided that real estate was the right path for him.
And so it has, Daniel now proudly has a record of his property listings lasting only 26 days on the market, which is much lower than the Perth average of 67 days.
“I like to leave a good impression with my clients and they tend to enjoy doing business with me,” he said. “Hopefully they enjoy the experience as much as I do.”
Realmark Managing Director, John Percudani said, “Daniel has such a strong work ethic and determination for his clients. You know from the day and hour you meet him, he will ensure he does whatever it takes to get you the most suited buyer for your property. This is evident from his sales track record of 26 days on market.”
“At Realmark we strive to have an elite team of individuals pulling together to achieve the best results for their clients, we have a unique culture at Realmark where the network pulls together, bouncing off one another's experiences and challenges to deliver.” Said, John.
When Daniel is not immersed in Scarborough life and local real estate, he can be found following soccer on TV, spending time with his close-knit circle of mates or at the beach with his American Staffy, Billie.
