Julie was able to enlighten us on the current market of Yallingup, and the movement around holiday homes in the area. Explaining that “the market is currently very active”. Hitting sales out of the park, left right and center, Julie went on to say that “Perth buyers, as well as buyers from outside of WA, are definitely looking at the South West with a view of purchasing lifestyle properties for holiday use now, and longer term for their future retirement”. According to the team at Realmark Dunsborough, the demand goes beyond just the gorgeous homes, “vacant land in Yallingup is highly sought after right now”.
Now that we know this is one of the places to consider for your holiday home, we asked Julie what her biggest tip for holiday home purchasers would be. Julie explained that people should have a holiday before they actually buy, “spend time looking at which location will suit you best. Are you looking for a beachside property? Or would you prefer a sea change with room and space, that is not too far from town?”. Julie went on further to say that “there are so many options in Dunsborough, Yallingup and Eagle Bay, from small beachside cottages to million-dollar homes with amazing views. Each location has different appeal to buyers”. It is clearly important to determine what factors of the property are important to you. A holiday home’s purpose is to help you escape routine, so make sure you know where you are escaping to.
So what location is the best around Yallingup? According to Julie, her personal favourite is anywhere near a beach! “I am lucky to live in Yallingup which I love. Not too far from the beach in a rural setting, I get the best of both worlds.”
